This educational course is specifically designed to teach the general public, petition preparers, paralegals and lawyers how to prepare and file a simple Chapter 7 bankruptcy case without searching for hours online trying to piece the process together.
Taught by an experienced bankruptcy attorney, this course walks you through the entire process using video presentations and official bankruptcy forms. It's just like sitting in a classroom and learning how to file a petition with step-by-step instructions.
The course is intended only for basic Chapter 7 Bankruptcy petitions and debtors with nominal assets and regular debts. This course does not cover the entire law of bankruptcy, or every possible fact situation presented in a bankruptcy case. This course is presented in plain english and not in complicated legal terms.
The student should obtain an overall understanding and perspective of a uncomplicated bankruptcy case as it moves from start to finish through a bankruptcy court.
We begin with an overview of the entire process from start to finish. Then, the course delves into 11 sections covering the qualification required to be eligible to file, required documents, preparation of each form, filing the petition with the court, the required pre and post-filing credit counseling and financial management courses, preparation and delivery of documents to the trustee, the meeting of creditors and the discharge of debts, and more. Those wishing to file bankruptcy should always consult with a local attorney. Use of this educational course does not create an attorney/client relationship. At this time, there are no CLE credits offered to attorneys taking this course.
We welcome you with open arms to this informative educational course!
